PORTABLE GIS PARTIAL DISCHARGE DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT(ARGOS)

      System Overview

ARGOS is composed of diagnostic equipment, operational software, and sensors operating on a dedicated UHF band.
Utilizing the SRPDA (Speed Resolved Partial Discharge Analysis) algorithm, ARGOS innovatively removes noise at its source, enabling the detection of partial discharge signals without attenuation or omission. It is an advanced device capable of efficiently diagnosing the abnormality and integrity of power facilities in active states.

      HMI

ARGOS comes equipped with a diagnostic program employing Neural Network analysis, providing users with a user-friendly Human-Machine Interface (HMI). It can diagnose over five types, including inductive discharge, floating electrode discharge, corona discharge, insulation abnormal discharge, and four types of partial discharge and noise signals.
Moreover, it displays partial discharge signals using PRPD (Phase Resolved Partial Discharge) and PRPS (Phase Resolved Pulse Sequence), making visual analysis easier.
ARGOS stores diagnostic results within the program and includes a report-saving function for generating output results.

      SENSOR

ARGOS sensors consist of UHF SPACER TYPE and UHF NOISE SENSOR.

      • UHF SPACER TYPE is utilized for acquiring partial discharge signals by being placed on the spacer of GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear).
      • UHF NOISE SENSOR is used either for capturing partial discharge signals occurring in confined spaces or for acquiring external noise.
      • When combined with a coupling rod, it enables the acquisition of partial discharge signals in narrow spaces. Additionally, when used in conjunction with an angle adjuster, it efficiently captures partial discharge signals in confined spaces.
